Fischerspooner Live=Simply Stunning

Read Live Review @ Blurt!

Fischerspooner has finally returned with a great new album, Entertainment and their live act is a spectacle fans/critics either love/hate. I absolutely LOVED it. Casey Spooner and Warren Fischer’s “Between Worlds” tour makes a point to zigzag across the line of art performance and musical performance. They do not merely play their music but give their fans a theatrical show to accompany their amazing tunes. What can ya say; some people get it and appreciate their extra effort to go against the grain, while others dismiss it (it’s probably the drink in their systems anyway).

Regardless, I truly enjoyed Fischerspooner’s show and am craving for more…you almost have to see the show several times to get it all “in.” Four dancers, a large screen, two televisions, Spooner…so much went on my eyes didn’t know where to rest at first. I decided to focus on Spooner who was the ultimate “front man.” His sarcastic, smart-ass, funny banter with the audience was entertaining in it’s own right.

All shots were taken on Fuji film. Switched between 28mm wide angles lens and 50mm prime with the Minolta XG-1…
